multilib updates

hey, just did a net install and after i got everything setup and updated, i added the multilib repository and did an -Syu and it updated a ton of stuff including the kernel and basically everything i had installed. any ideas?

Well, nothing within the Arch base system depends on a package from multilib, so did you possibly try to install a multilib package? Also, are these new packages prefixed with lib32-*, etc?

Is it your first update after the install? If so, everything's fine. Post /var/log/pacman.log.
