Try looking at the Wikipedia pages and searching google for "aspell vs hunspell".

They are basically different. In short: hunspell expands on myspell which was designed for OpenOffice. Myspell on the other hand was meant to replace and enhance aspell and integrate easily in the word processing application.
For more detail: Wikipedia Hunspell, Myspell, Aspell, etc.
It is all in there.

There's this thing called 'search by date', you should try it.
And just because the answer is 'recent' doesn't mean its more accurate. Go to the websites for both projects, take note of any new announcements, and then read google results with that knowledge in mind. Arch users search first before posting.
Closing.
