[SOLVED] K3B burn to slow

Hey guys,

First, i'm using x64 and Gnome. System is uptodate.

Today i realised that K3B dont burn DVDs with the full speed of 16x. But CDs with 52x, whats the maximum the blank can. So i googled a little bit, check some logs and utils but cant find any hint. K3B itself says that my burn device (Its an Optiarc DVDRW) can do 16x, its also avaidable at the dialog. And the Media-Info of the blank that K3B gives me also says it can be burned with 16x. But when im starting the process, it gives me a warning that my device or the blank dont support 16x und reduce speed down to 6x. It doesnt matter if i select 16x, 12x, 10x or 8x, always reduce to 6x. I tried with blanks of 2 different producers, same at both.

The funny thing is, if i burn in console with growisofs, same device, same blank, it burns with 16x. But console is unclear, and i dont like brasero.

And beside, knotify always crashing when K3B finished the burn process. "Executable: knotify4 PID: 4953 Signal: 11 (Segmentation fault)" It doenst really matter here but its anoying, maybe someone know how to fix that.

Sooo, any suggestions?

I solved the Problem on my own. Just select that K3B uses the growisofs module for burn and now it works. Solved
