I've been trying to figure out how to set the volume label for a mounted VFAT volume under linux. I googled and searched but didn't turn up anything that seemed to help. Perhaps one of you guys know how to do what I'm talking about?
For example, I have a USB memory stick with a VFAT partition so I can use it with my Windows box in my lab at school and I want to give the stick a new volume label. I know how to do this under Windows but can't seem to figure it out under linux.
