Re: programs at startup

Uhh, that's only for starting apps after X startup/login.

If you want something systemwide to run after bootup then put it in /etc/rc.local. If you want to run it each time you login, put it in .bashrc or something. If you want to run it after X start/login then follow that url.

Re: programs at startup

1. Open Konqueror.
2. Select Go->Autostart from the menubar.
3. Right-click in the window view area and select Create New->File->Link to Application
4. Click on the Application tab in the window that appears and enter the name of the command to run in the Command text box.

but i think this won't work for adsl-start cause you have to be rrot to run this...

Re: programs at startup

I think adding adsl-start to /etc/rc.local makes most sense.

Re: programs at startup

Put adsl in the daemon array of /etc/rc.conf file to automatically start adsl connection on bootup.

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hotplug network adsl @crond @firestarter @alsa @cups)
