Alternatives to Gnome-settings-daemon for applications using Gtk

Hi,
when I start Gnome, Gnome-settings-daemon set the my personnal fonts to the desktop and Gtk applications including the menu of Gecko based one like Seamonkey and Firefox. When I am out of Gnome using an other window manager or desktop environment, the only way I found to set the Gecko based applications to the fonts I use with Gnome is to start Gnome-settings-daemon. Is there an other way to do it?

Use lxappearance to set your gtk settings.  There are some other ones too, like gtk-chtheme, gtk-theme-switch2, and gtk2_prefs.  I like lxappearance, personally.
