After upgrading two days ago, my VNC sessions started acting funny. Fluxbox will start, but xsetroot doesn't set the background to a solid color anymore. Most parts of the Fluxbox bar and menu are completely black -- but highlighting programs in the menu will make them readable. Additionally, programs will not run when I click the menu items.
I haven't changed anything, so my guess is that one of the new packages caused this problem. Not sure which one, though.
Here is the VNC session log:

Again, it was working properly before the update.

The puzzling thing is that those files DO exist in those locations!
$ which xrdb
/usr/bin/xrdb
$ which xsetroot
/usr/bin/xsetroot
Again, it worked just fine before, so I have no idea why it stopped working after the update.

$ ls -a ~/.X*
.Xauthority .Xdefaults .Xresources
=-( It's there and has the proper permissions. I just don't get it...

I upgraded fluxbox and now programs will run again. Something weird happened with a dependency of my custom theme, so everything was black -- that explains that problem.
The background is still the default X halftone background, but that's only a minor problem.
I'll mark this as solved.
