Hello my friends.
I'm having some troubles printing via LAN or from localhost. Here is the basic setup.
Data server also has Samsung ML-2240 attached to it and shared. Workstations share data/printer through LAN. Everything worked perfectly until I updated the server with "pacman -Syu" a few days ago. Pacman -Q greps are:
splix 2.0.0-7
kernel26 2.6.36.3-1
cups 1.4.4-3 (manually downgraded from 1.4.6-1 which seems to have eased the problem)
cups-usblp 1.4.4-4
usblp module is blacklisted.
I have followed a few wiki articles a while ago when initial setup was done, can't remember which ones.
Now the problem; approximately every 3rd page prints successfully. The LED won't even flash as it should when the printing starts. Here are two jobs from CUPS logs:
Samsung-2115 /tmp/.org.chromium.KOM4LG csr 46k 1 completed at Fri 14 Jan 2011 10:17:07 AM UTC
Samsung-2114 smbprn.00004348 Magic: Pregled nobody 40k 1 completed at Fri 14 Jan 2011 10:02:01 AM UTC
Upper one didn't print, lower one came out successfully. Error log says nothing unusual, Access log also.
