filesystem failure

I try to boot my system and I get an error message. When I try to mount the filesystem from the Arch Live CD I get this same error.

Possible disk failure?

Re: filesystem failure

The "I/O error" in dmesg shows that there was a problem reading from the disk, which makes it very likely that this is a hardware issue.

Re: filesystem failure

I booted a GParted live CD and I made a check on the broken filesystem. It fixed the filesystem errors and then I booted successfully my Arch installation.
