Hmm, in my case any of the switchers don't work ("minimized" is ticked everywhere).

hey, when compile compiz-backend-kconfig4, show this error: KDE4Defaults MacroLibrary can't find. Do i miss some packages?
Would like to make friends beyond China area!

With the latest git checkout, the packages compile successfully on my system, but I get this system.
compiz-git (core) - Fatal: Couldn't open display vG
^there's actually a bunch of gibberish at the end
I've tried the following to get it to work:
* Rebuild against nvidia-utils
* Rebuild against libgl
* Rebuild against xorg-server in [extra]
* Rebuild against xorg-server-compositing-fix in [AUR]
But it still gives me this error. It was working before I rebuilt it.
Right now, I'm currently using xorg-server-compositing-fix and the proprietary nvidia driver. I've talked to the main developer about this, and it's usually either from my DISPLAY variable being set incorrectly or binary corruption. It appears to be binary corruption, but it's been happening every time I compile this package. Can someone who has this running provide a list of md5sums to compare against my current build so I can find which file is corrupt?
[EDIT] I've narrowed down my issue: the opengl plugin is what's causing my compiz build to go wrong. I might need to build it against the normal libgl. Something similar happened when I tried rebuilding 0.9.2.1 after disabling everything but opengl.
[EDIT2]: So removing the proprietary driver and recompiling against the original still didn't work, yet again.

That doesn't look like a normal error, try asking about it on irc (#compiz on irc.freenode.net)

FWIW, I got that error too, but I compiled it with a hacked xmonad patch, so figured it was that

Ah. I didn't compile it with any patches.
[EDIT]Compiz++ is working again. Turns out the problem was an old mesa package on my system.

anyone has problems with gtk-window-decorator? I can't use metacity themes, it works only with the STD cairo theme.

Anyone else experience a no build on compizconfig-python-09?

Anyone tried compiz++ with the latest nvidia/nvidia-utils?
I'm doing a fresh install and compiz crashes when I turn on the opengl extension (only reports a segmentation fault).
It doesn't crash with nuoveau, but looks horribly wrong (black triangles everywhere).

I'm now using compiz 0.8.4, is it worth a try? Any improvements?

You have to downgrade the cython package to version 1.13. Search and download it from here:
http://arm.konnichi.com/search/
And do a pacman -U <package.file>

On the other hand, if I start kde first, sometimes I can replace kwin with compiz (composite + opengl). WTF?

@johanbcn - thanks for the info! Just as an FYI, are there any real changes in 0.9 compared to the compiz suite that is in [extra]?

0.9 is a complete rewrite in C++, its not very stable and if you do run it, I would recommend you try the git packages rather than the 0.9 (release) ones.

THanks, I thought the ++ packages represented the C++ rewrite while the 0.9 was something else.

Solved by installing compiz-decorator-gtk (that brings in compiz-core, but does not conflict with 09 or ++ packages). Run compiz --replace and then run gtk-window-decorator --replace. It will create all the gconf keys. Anyways copy 'em from here: http://i.imgur.com/TWMmb.png
Edit: OT: LOL, have to read some mails xD

@m4co, why not just start it with compiz --replace ccp?
