best browser/plugin combination

hi im looking for a browser to handle all streaming video formats..so far firefox seems to work ok with mpayerplugin, but it seems to crash ever so often...ive tried plugger with opera too...not too good..konqueror crashes *every* time with mplayer-plugin..

im willing to use any of these browsers(firefox,opera,konqueror)...so what is the best combination of browser and plugin handler(plugger,mozplugger,mplayer-plugin, or something else)

Re: best browser/plugin combination

I'm using epiphany with mplayerplugin and used firefox with it before. It never crashed for me, but I'm only watching quicktime with it.

Re: best browser/plugin combination

try using kmplayer for konqueror and adjust the settings in konqueror to use it. Thats what I use and the only problems I have are with windows media streams. *I think* it dynamically choose which helper application to use (noatem, mplayer, kaffiene, etc. -mostly kaffiene).

:?: gnaja_guru :
are you looking for a browser plugin or helper application?
if helper application, I would strongly suggest kaffiene as fetreney2000 suggested, its works very well.

Re: best browser/plugin combination

gxine seems to work pretty well across the board..is there a way to wait for the entire file to buffer before it starts playing? i dont have a very high speed connection and the video keeps locking up every now and then
