I have some problem with nvidia-ck package.
I was install kernel26-ck-p4 and kernel26-ck-p4-headers. Reboot. Then I was install nvidia-ck in kernel26-ck repo. But Xorg don't start. In /var/log/errors.log is such rows:

Jan 21 13:05:32 localhost kernel: nvidia: version magic '2.6.37-ck SMP preempt mod_unload K7 ' should be '2.6.37-ck SMP preempt mod_unload PENTIUM4 '

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz

My problem solved install package nvidia-ck from AUR.

@unikum and Falcata - I have no idea how that k7 shit got into the nvidia-ck package. I'm planning to build a specific nvidia-ck-XXX package to match up with each kernel just like the headers. Stay tuned.

@unikum and anonymous_user - For the core2 in i686 and k8 in i686, no problem. I will add them. Hopefully, later today.

@unikum - maybe... only way to know for sure is to do a diff of the generic and xxx-optimized.

Anyway, I'm building the requested arches and will upload to the repo. As to the nvidia problems, I will remove the nvidia packages from the repo until I can figure out this problem.

OK! The problem with batch building is now solved and the repos are now populated!
-Added core2 and k8 to i686
-Added new nvidia packages

Please give the nvidia packages a try. Note that there are matched nvidia packages for kernel types. In other words:

$ sudo pacman -S kernel26-ck-atom nvidia-ck-atom

Or if using generic:

$ sudo pacman -Syy
$ sudo pacman kernel26-ck nvidia-ck

On the wiki for Kernel26-ck, it says this:

Intel Atom platform specific optimization (All Atoms 2xx/3xx/5xx).

Is this a typo, or is it not recommended to use -atom for 4xx CPUs, like the Atom N450?

I got the same message about those two packages being corrupted. kernel26-ck-core2-2.6.37-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz appears corrupted too.

@unikum and KM3K - thanks for the info. Fixed now (was a bad transfer causing the md5sum to differ). I have a safeguard in place to prevent this for happening in the future. Please give it a try now.

I tried "pacman -S kernel26-ck-atom nvidia-ck-atom" and it works fine

I did a performance test against the default Arch Kernel running UT2004 on my HP 311c (atom@2000 Mhz + ion)

Defaulf Arch kernel + nvidia driver = 64.5 fps
Kernel26-ck-atom(2.6.37-1) + nvidia-ck-atom = 65.7 fps
Kernel26-ck-atom(2.6.37-2) + nvidia-ck-atom = 66.1 fps
Kernel26-ck-atom(2.6.37-4) + nvidia-ck-atom = 67.9 fps
Kernel26-ck-atom(2.6.37-5) + nvidia-ck-atom = 67.6 fps
Kernel26-ck-atom(2.6.37-6) + nvidia-ck-atom = 67.7 fps

Out of sheer curiosity, what settings (details, resolutions etc.) do you use to get 60+ fps?

Im running UT2004 on 1366*768 (The default resolution for HP 311c) and most of the graphic details are on the highest as the atom CPU is the bottleneck and not the graphic card.

Online I get 45 to 80 fps on the 311c, (but I mostly play on my stationary PC)

I can't build the modules for virtualbox with kernel26-ck. Here's the output

is it possible to compile a core 2 duo optimized kernel in a k8 machine? as far as i know it doesn't matter but i am not sure about it.

i am not reffering to flags but in processor family choice in make menuconfig.

Yes, you can build whatever processor type. The flags in /etc/makepkg.conf are another matter entirely as you pointed out indirectly.
