[SOLVED] Battery monitor not working in KDE 4.6

I just updated my laptop to KDE 4.6 and I noticed that the battery monitor doesn't work anymore. It says "Battery not present" and is unable to control screen brightness. I removed hal and have upower and acpi installed.
Does anyone have the same issue?

Hi, in my case I forgoted to add DBUS in DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf , in my case I had only HAL that active DBUS so without HAL not DBUS... so after add manually dbus all works fine, my battery monitor and networkmanager.. good luck

Thank you, it was the same for me. Starting dbus and then restarting KDE fixed everything. I added dbus in the daemon array, so everything should be in place now.
Marking as solved.
