I got a TP-Link TL-WN722N usb adapter and have followed the install instructions at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_Setup
Everything is fine until I get to the last step in the manual setup. When I run `dhcpcd wlan0` I get the timeout. The instructions account for this and say to run `iwconfig wlan0 channel auto` which I do. I then rerun `dhcpcd wlan0` again, but get another timeout.
Unfortunately, there are not additional instructions so I am at loss to know how to make things work.
Any help is appreciated.

You need to check that the iwconfig command worked as expected before running dhcpcd.

I did, everything up to that point worked fine.
The output was something like:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID="..."
Mode: Managed ...
..
..

Would be great if you post the entire output of the iwconfig command. What are for example "Access Point" and "Link Quality"?

Hey guys thanks for the help, but I was able to get things working for the manual setup.
My issue was I typed my password in incorrectly in the /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf file and only realized it when I was copying and pasting text to post here.
Thanks for the help

You do know there is a wpa_passphrase tool that comes with wpa_supplicant, so you can generate a valid wpa_supplicant.conf, or add a new stanza to your existing one?

Sorry that last comment was poorly worded. The mistake that was made was typing an incorrect passphrase when calling the `wpa_passphrase [mynetwork] [passphrase]` method.
