Dell V105

I'd like to know if it is possible to install my Dell V105 printer on an Arch Linux guest machine in VMware Player running on Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit edition with Service Pack 2. In the guest, I've installed CUPS, Ghostscript, and SANE. What's next?

Re: Dell V105

Where is that printer installed, i.e. is it attached somehow to the Windows machine and does it work on Windows? I have no experience with VMWare and so don't know if it can provide the printer as a local printer to guests, but I guess one possible option would be to use it in Arch as a network printer. You first need to find the IP address of the Windows machine and see if you can reach that IP address from within your Arch guest. You would then go through the CUPS configuration and configure it as a normal network printer (lpd://).

Re: Dell V105

It's connected to my Windows host machine via USB, and it works perfectly there.
