No Gstreamer

I cannot find Gstreamer codecs in extra (no mirror is listing it they all timeout) and cannot compile ANYTHING with an mp3 codec in it Does anyone know why the AUR codecs keeps erroring at Quicktime and are ther any alternatives for mp3 codecs

What do you mean you can't install gstreamer? It's there in extra. It must be an issue of your current pacman mirror. Try changing those and try installing again.
Also what type of mp3 codec do you need?

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was frustrated with Rythymbox last night and had to cut my "discoveries" short. The real problem is Rythymbox will not play any .mp3 files I have, but I know my sound works because it plays all Magnatune and Jamendo files. Everytime I try to import an .mp3 from any outside source (usb or cd) it gives me an error stating "Additional GStreamer plugins are required to play this file:MPEG-1 layer (mp3) decoder. I have installed all Gstreamer codecs (Good,Bad, and Ugly) and tried to install the codecs package from AUR, but the codecs package in AUR is broken and gives me a :Quicktime error: when it tries to extraxt from the tarball. I have also tried to reinstall Gstreamer but it tells me there is no such package in extra? What can I do to fix this?

To use gstreamer libraries, you will need the gstreamer plugins.

To find all gstreamer libraries and plugins try,

# pacman -Ss gstreamer

To install them using a single bash command line, I suggest reading the ArchWiki article Codecs.
