Hauppage 2250 not working after kernel update

It seems my hauppage 2250 capture card is no longer working after the upgrade to the latest kernel (2.6.37). I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. Any ideas? Here's some commands / output:

dmesg | grep saa

saa7164 driver loaded
saa7164 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17
CORE saa7164[0]: subsystem: 0070:8851, board: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR2250 [card=7,autodetected]
saa7164[0]/0: found at 0000:03:00.0, rev: 129, irq: 17, latency: 0, mmio: 0xfb000000
saa7164 0000:03:00.0: setting latency timer to 64
saa7164_downloadfirmware() no first image
saa7164_downloadfirmware() Waiting for firmware upload (NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw)
saa7164_downloadfirmware() Upload failed. (file not found?)

Reading up, it seems "NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw" is used for experimental analog for this card--which I don't want. I tried downloading it and putting it in /lib/firmware, and dmesg seems "happy", in the sense that analog is enabled and I can go into mythtv and add analog capture cards, but not the digital ones.

lspci | grep -i philips

03:00.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7164 (rev 81)

After a reboot, I don't even get a /dev/dvb directory.

Edit: Okay, so after posting I decided to try again with the NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw file in place, and it worked. I think I was trying to add the cards to mythtv with mythbackend already running or something. Anyway, false alarm--it works! I did need to add that .fw file, though, which I never needed before.
