xf86-video-intel 2.14 OpenGL (Boxee/XBMC) performance

Updated to xf86-video-intel 2.14 and saw everything slow to a crawl in Boxee and XBMC. Running glxgears still reports a decent framerate. Rolling back to 2.13 has me going for now. Anyone else experience this?

Nope, everything is fine regarding this matter here. I'm using 2.14 since it was available in the arch repos and I still haven't found any issues.

Do you have Driconf installed, or perhaps there's an existing ~/.drirc config file?

You can try removing it after backing up your existing .drirc file and see if it makes a difference. I remember reading a recommendation from the xorg-edgers PPA that it's best to start with a clean config (no .drirc) when changing versions of open source video drivers.

This might sound outright silly, but in Boxee or XBMC, did you notice any difference in performance if you continuously move the mouse cursor around as opposed to letting it idle?

Just checked, driconf isn't installed and I have no .drirc. In Boxee or XBMC any keyboard or mouse interaction was pretty awful, let alone playing anything.

Did you ever find a solution to this?
