ok so i know my card needs the broadcom wl driver which i was able to install from the aur without errors. The base kde desktop didn't have knetworkmanager installed by default, so i installed it. I believe that the wl driver is installed fine but knetworkmanager isnt working correctly, this is because even an ethernet connection doesn't show up. I have followed just about every guide on the internet and can not get knetworkmanager to work. PLEASE help!!! I'm new to arch, like new today, but i have some experience in other distros.

so i have gotten somewhere running the following,
sudo /etc/rc.d/network stop
sudo ifconfig eth0 down
sudo /etc/rc.d/networkmanager start
the wired network is now working. But the "enable wireless" tic box and the "show more..." button are flashing (wierdddd), and no wireless networks show up. Please someone help. this is the last hurtle for this arch install and i dont want to go back to ubuntu.

don't forget to put "networkmanager" on your /etc/rc.conf after debus, and inactivate the network daemon (just change "network" to "!network" )
