fallback-bios on p67 chipset motherboards

Hi,
Is it possible to bypass the UEFI bios and use an old-fashioned bios on p67 motherboards?

The idea is to use an existing SSD with arch already installed together with an ASUS P67 board ( yes, I know about the SATA bug ) which has no room left for an EFI system partition.

I would like to just use the SSD, boot the fallback-kernel and run mkinitcpio. That's it. Is it possible?

My Asus P8P67 board boots well my old Arch installation with grub-legacy from core. The new UEFI bios seems capable to boot old partition tables. Don't worry about it.

Good news, thanks!

What does the bios-interface look like in this case?

Also with grub-legacy you mean the actual default-grub?

pacman -S grub =>

which at the moment yields => 0.97-17
