[SOLVED] full disc, can only boot as root

Hi all,

I can´t boot with my normal user (starts XFCE), because I receive this error:

cannot close /tmp/server-0.xkm (maybe disc is full?)
Failed to activate core devices.
Error compiling keymap.

If I type in "df -h", after logging in as root, I receive:

Device: /dev/sda3
Size: 7.4 G
Used: 6.9 G
Free: 0
Full: 100%
Mount point: /

The used part was earlier in 7.1, but after uninstalling some packages and removing some files it went down to 6.9. Nevertheless it says that the disc is 100% full.

Sorry for the bad formatting, I cant use wgetpaste, because the network connection is not starting, since this error.

Stating the obvious here, but maybe you should delete more stuff.

First I thought you are wrong, because I already deleted ~200mb and it didn´t work. But now I deleted additionally 100mb and now I can boot again. So you are absolutely right. I feel a little bit stupid now! big_smile
