Hi everyone, this has been bugging me for ages
Basically, I have compiz-deskmenu installed and triggering fine the ususal way through ccsm, yet the menu doesn;t show up when it gets the signal. It does run, as I can see it in my process list, but it never exits.
Im using compiz as a standalone WM, have set up the deskmenu through viewport switch as per guides.
Any ideas?

Does it run correctly when you run it from a terminal? If not, then perhaps it is a problem with the configuration... ie. empty config file. Also post any error messages when run from terminal.

Yes, It runs flawlessly when I run it from terminal, with no errors. And it even exits properly when I click on an item or somewhere to close the menu =\

I have the same problem. That's not a config problem in my ccsm because if i change run_command0_key with any other run_command*_key, it works.

Same here. Have tried running other programs via the same commands and they work fine.
As I said, compiz-deskmenu runs, but does not show up and does not exit

The same, BUT:
1. After starting X compiz-deskmenu show up only once
2. When clicking 3 or more clicks (very fast) - it appears on the display
3. It always works without troubles on tint2 panel (I have "Window Manager Menu" enabled in tint config )

Yep, I have the same symptoms as gory.
Surely this is a bug in the deskmenu?

No, it is not a bug: compiz-deskmenu and all his dependencies has not been updated from october-november of last year.
I found, that you should not click more than once, just should click once but very fast - do not pull mouse button! All should work. There is something with configuration. If I will find how to fix - I will write here.

I know, how to fix:
pacman -Rns compiz compiz-deskmenu
pacman -S openbox
