To determine what is using your memory:
ps -eo %mem,cmd|sort -rn|head
For your graphics card, see:

How much ram do you have? And how exactly are you determining the ram usage? Are you being confused by the caching?
Also, what cpu do you have?
And xf86-video-ati do support your video card.

i think that driver you introdus for my video driver is not full supports for 3d .i installed its but 3d is very bad.

You only have 435MiB of ram and firefox is a memory hog. If you want to reduce memory usage, try using a lighter browser. Also, consider switching to a more minimal DE; KDE tends to be fairly memory and cpu intensive. See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … t_Software.

Stebalien is absolutely correct. You cannot run KDE with anything less than 512MB or RAM and your computer will still require the need of swap space even with that amount. 1GB is what I consider a minimum for KDE. Fluxbox, OpenBox or others would work OK.

There is this little magic tag, oft overlooked, although it's very cute and cuddly. We call it the [ code ] tag. Please use it.
