Since update of Kde 4.6, no contact appear in kaddressbook...
Same for korganizer, no events
Akonadi seems to run correctly (no errors)

Same problem here....

Thanks for the link. But now what? I guess we are stuck with a non-functional kdepim until 4.6 is out...

In the meantime I would try out the betas of kdepim which are in [kde-unstable]. They worked on RC2 for kmail (didn't test anything else) although I've not tested against [extra] kde 4.6

Indeed, downgrading to kdepimlibs 4.5 fixes this, but then the clock widgets are broken.... I might try the kdepim 4.6 from unstable.

Same here. Is it safe to go to KDEPIM 4.6 already? As far as I know the ownly real issue is the migration from the old kmail system. But backup all mails, setting up the accounts new and copying the old mails in again manually should work, shouldn't it?

can you test kdepim-runtime and kdepim* built upon kdepimlibs 4.6 and akonadi 1.5?
EDIT
link removed, kdepim-*-4.4.9-2 will fix this issue

Just installed 4.4.9-2
Created "Personal Contacts"-akonadi resource, imported my old vcf and everything works

Update: After a reboot, my contacts are gone again. However, my akonadi events are shown in the calendar module and even the birthdays of my akonadi contacts. So Akonadi seems to read my entries, but the addressbook module doesn't read them properly...
How about you others?

Why is this thread marked solved?
I also don't have any akonadi contacts and events in Korganizer and Kontact (KDE 4.6.0)

I'm not a hardcore user of pim software. But both kadressbook and kmail works okay for me with kdepim from kde-unstable.
