I can't install my graphic card.Pacman is not working.
pacman: error while loading shared libraries: liblzma.so.0: cannoe or directory
So my system is very slow.(first reason )
I choose Arch, because everybody says that Arch is very fast. But I can't see that.Maybe KDE request more RAM and GRAPHIC card?
My system is ;
Intel Celeron Cpu 2.4 ghz
Ram : 768 MB
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8x] (rev c1) - 64 MB
is it enough for KDE ? if isn't enough what is your suggest?
And how can I fix pacman error?
(sorry for bad English)

Lots of similar issues have been posted on the forum already that you should search for, but the the most likely quick explanation is you need to update before installing anything and be sure the xz package is installed.

pacman -Syu it's the update command, but it's not the solution.Because this command gives me same error. How can I check,xz package?
Note : 'pacman' command gives me this error message also.

You have an old card. I suggest getting a better one or using e.g. lxde instead of KDE.
Please search before posting: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=799784 https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=77382

yea your system seems pretty slim for a kde install i would try lxde. As for the pacman issue, i have no idea. Maybe try using Clyde found in the aur as a stand in for pacman, update your system then see if that fixed pacman

Fix your pacman problems first, then worry about installing your graphics card driver.
Check your mirrors: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mirrors.
Be sure to use 'pacman -Syy' after making any changes to the mirrorlist. After that, perform an update, 'pacman -Su'. Pay attention to any messages given during the installation of updated packages. If the messages pass by too fast, you can find them in the pacman log, '/var/log/pacman.log'.
Then try installing your graphics card driver.

Karol's links should be good information on how to get xz installed manually. Just download the xz package off an up to date one (thisoldman's link can tell you which ones are current) and install following the directions. Just be sure you're extracting the newest packages (xz should be xz-5.0.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz )

I don't see any mention of Ark in there https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 42#p799742

You need to pass instructions to the tar command. Read the man-page for tar. Try the following:
tar -xvf xz-5.0.1-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz -C / --exclude .PKGINFO --exclude .INSTALL
Also, please read the links provided by the previous posters if you have not done so.
