In order to do an emergency salvage of my broken system (that has been running over three years withoug a major problem) I found out that the USB.-keyboard is not working. It does respond during POST and bios settings but after the UDEV scan it is no longer responsive. The mobo is an intel 945GCLF2.
what can I do to get the live CD (and USB ) to recognize my keyboard?

A power recycle rendered the keyboard available.
