[SOLVED] KDE Icon Troubles after Firefox upgrade (Icon Cacheing?)

Hello,

I just (well, a couple days ago) upgraded from main firefox (3) package in the repos to 4beta10 (from AUR).

The strange thing is that now KDE menus display the old (Firefox 3 unbranded) icon set instead of the branded icons. Stranger still, if I click and DRAG the icon (such as to reposition it in the list), the correct icon is used for the drag animation.

If I create a link to the application in a plasmoid launcher, it uses the correct icon.

Basically, it uses the correct icon everywhere but in the KDE Application Menu. My only assumption is that it cached a local copy somewhere that wasn't removed when I 'pacman -Rns firefox'd

Anyone with KDE experience know what the problem is? Maybe I can learn a little more about how KDE handles icon's internally and solve my problem at the same time!

Thanks a whole bunch!

This will delete the icon cache:

rm /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/kpc/kde-icon-cache.*

Or you can mv the files if you prefer.

Fantastic! Worked like a charm!

Edit: How do I mark this as solved?
