No system tray in tint2

Hi !

I just replaced pypanel by tint2 and I don't regret it, its a nice & tiny taskbar.
But only one things isn't working: The system tray.
I activated it via the tint2conf menu, but neither vlc or pidgin icon appears...

The config-section

# System Tray
systray = 1
systray_padding = 0 0 0
systray_sort = left2right
systray_background_id = 1
systray_icon_size = 16
systray_icon_asb = 70 0 0

Anyone know something which can help ?

Re: No system tray in tint2

Have you tried setting "systray_icon_size = 0"?

Re: No system tray in tint2

Yes, but it doesn works.

tint2 outputs in console:

tint2 : another systray is running

But there is no one other running...

Fluxbox init-config

session.screen0.toolbar.visible:    false

Re: No system tray in tint2

Hmmm, check that you are usuing the correct config file. Did try adding a clock? Do other programs populate the tray?

Re: No system tray in tint2

I'm using the correct file, because _all_ besides the system tray is working fine.

I don't have any idea why the systray doesnt show up... (the same is with the non-working lua-script)

Re: No system tray in tint2

tint2 say it : another systray is running !

check how to disable systray in fluxbox

~/.fluxbox/init, the line begins with session.screen0.toolbar.tools: just make sure systemtray is not there

Re: No system tray in tint2

Yes its working ! Thanks smile
Deleted "systemtray" from the "session.screen0.toolbar.tools: iconbar, clock" line and it works !
I don't care about this file, because pypanel was working with the "systemtray" included in this line.
Good to know !

But what means the "Horizontal Spacing" option ?

Re: No system tray in tint2

When an object (like panel, taskar, ...) include child object, "horizontal_spacing" define the space between 2 childs.

So :
-> in panel_padding,  "horizontal_spacing" define the space between clock and systray. And the space between systray and taskbar.
-> in launcher_padding, "horizontal_spacing" define the space between 2 lancher icon
-> in taskbar_padding, "horizontal_spacing" define the space between 2 tasks
-> in systray_padding, "horizontal_spacing" define the space between 2 systray icons

http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1297262560.jpg
with taskbar_padding = 0 0 3

http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1297262648.jpg
with taskbar_padding = 0 0 8
