Hey everybody,
I was just wondering where the modules for some pcmcia cards went. I have wlan-ng26 installed and the modules are just not there anymore - the whole thing happened after pacman upgraded my kernel.
Are the modules located in the kernel config so that I can just compile my own or or they part of the wlan-ng package and were - for some reason - removed?
Maybe I am just not finding them... :-)
okay guys - thanks for your help!!!
Bye

reinstall the wlan-ng package - you need to reinstall modules when you upgrade your kernel

do a "pacman -Ql wlan-ng26" and "uname -r"
the package may need to be rebuilt for the running kernel...
most likely it installed to a different kernel dir

hi,
thanks a lot - now I know that it installed into the 2.6.10 directory and I am using the 2.6.11xx kernel. What would solve that problem? Should I get the PKGBUILD file from the cvs and just rebuild it that way?
Thanks for you help!!

flag the package out of date - the maintainer just didn't rebuild it with the newest kernel...(you can wait, or build it yourself...)

I have the same problem whenever I update to a newer kernel, but building the package again has always solved my problem.
Note that I dont use the linux-wlan-ng-xxx that is in the arch repository that one never worked for me. I download the latest source package.
