[solved] plot a graph programm

hi to all

i'm searching a program able to plot a graph of simple equation, like y=f(x) and z=f(x,y)

such as Derive or Graph (http://www.padowan.dk/graph/) in windows.

i've found Genius but have some limit......

any tips ?

Or, pull out the big guns -- wxmaxima.  It is a symbolic math program that understands everything from algebra to calculus to Laplace transforms.  It happily works with real and complex variable, and it uses GNUplot as a back end for plotting.

Also, I assume you have seen http://www.wolframalpha.com/ ?  Do it all from your browser -- try typing y=x^2-4*x+1 into the query box... Then try  a*x^2+b*x+c=0
