Bizarre screen issues on wake from hibernate

After I wake from pm-hibernate, the left two thirds of my screen is black. I can move the cursor over top of the black area and it will even interact with things underneath like text and resize handles. If I hibernate from a TTY I have the same issue; I can run alsamixer but only the right third is visible. I am on a 1000he with the intel 945GME chipset, latest kernel, drivers, etc. I have had this issue for a while, and any help pinning down the cause would be much appreciated.
