KDE plasma-netbook icons disappearing

Hello,

Sometimes, not very often, some icons would disappear from the favorites bar, but I would solve it with a reboot or logout.
Now everytime I reboot some icons are gone from the favorites bar and also from the menu on the bottom, as you can see from the following screenshot:

If I click the Development icon and then get back to the beginning the icons come back but not the ones from the favorites bar.

I searched the web, the forums and I don't have any idea what could be causing this. I already remove the .kde4 directory to start fresh but the same happens, even when creating a new user from scratch. Also already tried making a new xorg.conf by auto detecting thinking it could be graphics related, same result.
Computer is a eeepc 1005ha, the graphics information from lspci are:

VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

First problem only appears without the KDE effects (compositing). Must be a bug.

Second problem appeared with Qt 4.7.2. Maybe we should write a bug report on bug.kde.org?

Not at my computer right now but I tried with desktop effects enabled and disabled and the result is the same.

Chembro, what do you mean by first and second problem? The icons disappearing in the menu the first problem and the second one disappearing on the favorites?
English is not my native language so I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

Yes, that's what I meant, and you would have misunderstood it, if English were your native language (which isn't mine either). Was my fault.

Keep in mind that it might happen, that, if you enter KDE, KDE itself disables desktop effects.

You were right, KDE was disabling desktop effects on startup. I had to go to settings, desktop effects, advanced tab and check "disable functionality checks" for the effects to be enabled at login. But it had no effect, the icons for the favorites don't show up or just one shows up.I can see them for a fraction of a second but then they are gone. Also tried to change the rendering method, was using opengl and changed to xrender,also no change.

Also I made a pacman -Syu today and my qt version is 4.7.1-1 shouldn't I have 4.7.2 like you?Am I missing something?

Sorry, it's 4.7.1 for me, too. And the favourites icon dont show up with desktop effects enabled. I mentioned the "desktop effect"-thing because of your menu (the two screenshots in comparison).

The menu is fine with desktop effects on. The favourites icon thing is a problem with Qt.

Ha ok, no problem.

The two screenshots was just to show that when clicking on the one icon on the first screenshot and the clicking "back" all the other icons show up.

And at least for me it doesn't seem to be related to desktop effects, now with desktop effects enabled my menu at login is like in the first screenshot, only after clicking the menu item and going back, it gets back to normal.

I'm going to read how to downgrade and then try to downgrade to qt-4.7.0 as is the one I have in my cache before 4.7.1. Just to confirm and see what changes in my case. I'll report as soon as I have news.

Edit: Just made a pacman -U qt-4.7.0-4-i686.pkg.tar.xz and you were right ChemBro, downgrading qt solves both the problems, in the menu and in the favorites.
So, should we file a bug report on this, if so, how and where should we do it?

This bug is also present in Fedora 14. Has anybody filed a bug report somewhere?
