OK, so I have this youtube video in the top right corner of my screen. Always, ever since the flashplugin update (maybe a coincidence?). It doesn't show up in screenshots, so I shall just have to explain it in words. In chromium, for example, the left part of the URL bar has part of the vid under the text, but the video is confined to the url bar, though there is a few millimeters of it under the reload/home/back/forward buttons. On websites, i can see part of it in certain places of the site. On these forums, the "arch" part of the logo in top left is part of the vid with a white outline. I can see part of it in the big box around everything, while I am typing this. This doesn't only happen in Chromium, though. I have 3 icons on my desktop, and when I mouse over them I see part of the vid, but when not moused over, they and the rest of the desktop are fine. If I drag applications to the top right corner of the screen, this happens, but when I drag them away, the problem disappears. In leafpad, for example i see the video in the typing area. How do I fix this? I tried deleting chromiums cache, but that didn't help and I don't have a youtube video open in any tabs. I am assuming this is flash related, but I could be wrong. Thanks.
EDIT: It wasn't a flash problem. It was fixed a few minutes ago after I updated Chromium. Now that I think of it, Chromium was updated when I upgraded flash too.............
EDIT: I still dont know why this was happening, but it is one of those things that simply switching to another tty and back will fix it. If anyone else has this, ctrl-alt-F1 and then ctrl-alt-F7
EDIT: The above post that is now crossed out was just a poor, complicated description of this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=113368&p=2
If you have this problem, go there.

this is happening again. I have no idea why, it just seems kind of random. Thanks for any help!

Lets face it:
-Strange things happen
-Comes randomly
-Cannot be captured on screen
Its the arch.Poltergeist!
Instructions:
-Leave these forums (you are infectious)
-wipe your disk with zeroes and cover it in neodymium
-hope that he won't manifest itself in your rooms!
Or you could try another window manager first.

Try right-clicking a flash object, click Settings, and disable (uncheck) Hardware Acceleration.

metzengerstein, lol. and switching WM's doesn't help. I still have this issue in lxde with compiz, except the vid is distorted. The video just got really distorted when I logged back into xfce.
anonymous_user, thanks for the suggestion, but it didnt help.
Usually, when I first open chromium (it also happens in firefox btw) I have this problem, but it usually goes away after opening and closing it a few times, but it isnt now. Anyway, I get this error:
4345:4418:2606685085:ERROR:net/ocsp/nss_ocsp.cc(568)] No URLRequestContext for OCSP handler.
[4345:4413:2606692157:ERROR:net/ocsp/nss_ocsp.cc(568)] No URLRequestContext for OCSP handler.
or this:
5091:5091:3026282919:ERROR:base/native_library_linux.cc(32)] dlopen failed when trying to open libGLESv2.so: libGLESv2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[5091:5091:3026467386:ERROR:chrome/gpu/gpu_info_collector_linux.cc(84)] Fail to dlopen libpci
any other ideas? thanks
