Possible bug with FGLRX?
I did a package upgrade today and went onto Windows to play some TF2. When I booted back into Arch, I couldn't get X to start.
I fiddled around for a few minutes and rolled back the catalyst-utils package from 11.2-1 back to 11.1-2, rolled back lib32-catalyst-utils from 11.2-1 back to 11.1-2, and rolled back catalyst-hook from 11.1-3 back to 11.1-2. Doing that fixed the problem. I looked around on the interblag for a site to report this on, but only could find one official one that said for X versions up till like, 7.6? Regardless... it didn't look up to date, so I decided it'd be best to post it here since you guys would know what to do.
Here's the X log from when it wouldn't start, it gives me a Floating Point exception.

probably, but its more likely that you havent upgraded correctly.
anyway, ati's drivers are unsupported under arch.
to install correctly, uninstall catalyst and catalyst utils.
then install new catalyst-utils and new catalyst (in that order). that should get you going.

I was using the Opensource ATI drivers and decided today to give another chance into Catalyst Drivers.
I instaled the 11.2 packages and i ran into the exact same floting point exception at the same point in the log file.
I have 2 4830 Running Crossfire, already tryed disabling crossfire but same error.
If anyone has any ideas would be great, thank you.

I had the same problem. Check if your /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so is not an old version. I remove it and linked it to usr/X11R6/lib64/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so and it worked again.
