I have finally installed Arch successfully, but now I can't edit, move, copy or delete files, as i get the error: Read-only file system.
Now i know what this means, but how can i over come it?
I would really rather not do a clean install, as i have only just got this one 'working'.
Might connecting to the net and updating help?
Thanks a lot for your time!

Please search; there are literally a ton of topics on this very problem.

Allan -> ArchBang is not supported because it is stupid.

I did search and tried all of the potential fixes, but nothing has appeared to work.
I ran dmesg and found that it might be caused by having 'notail' in my options in my fstab file.
How can i edit this file to remove it, if the drive is read only?

Boot into the liveUSB/CD, mount your root drive, edit file.

This fixed, it.
For future reference, if you put the option 'notail' in fstab you get this error...
To remove it boot from a live disk
mount /dev/sdaX /mnt
nano /mnt/etc/fstab
Hope this helps people in the future!
