OK, so this is the scenario:
I've had a random no-sound problem for, lets say, two months. I was thinking that the problem might be the one described here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ad … k_of_Sound, as it all started when I added a new sound card to my PC.
Anyway, so I finally got the time to try to fix this... but I guess I mess it up in the process. So now, instead of not having sound sometimes, I just don't have sound never. And I really have no idea why.
This is what I already did:
a) Reboot like 6 times (to see if the problem was the "random" thing again. No. No sound, never)
b) pacman -Rms and then pacman -S both alsa-utils and alsa-oss (this once got fixed a problem I had, I guess it was just luck)
c) alsaconf (tryed every card sound listed there)
d) Of course, alsamixer, and everything seemed allright.
Well, now I leave you with the text files I modified, so someone, hopefully, can tell me what's weong with my sound.

OK, si I just fixed this. I don't know exactly HOW. But I did all of this:
a) Delete /etc/asound.state and /etc/asound.conf
b) delete /home/user/.pulse
c) reinstall (again) alsa-oss and alsa-utils
d) alsamixer again.
I don't really know what happened or why, but yeah. It works now.
I'm not sure if I fixed the random problem, though. And I'm not willing to reboot now to see, to be honest.
