Enemy Territory freeze

Occasionally when playing Enemy Territory, I get a freeze. Game  locks up, sounds goes itno a loop. Ctrl-Alt-Backspace doesn't work, I've got to switch terminals and kill it from there. When this happens, running top shows et.x86 is using 99.n% of my CPU. Is this an, ET or NVIDIA-releated problem? I just want to know where to look, normally it doens't really worry me too much cause I'm not really a gamer, it just pissed me off last night so I'd like to try and fix it if I could. 6.8.2
Latest NVIDIA according to pacman

Re: Enemy Territory freeze

Do you have "RenderAccel" set to true in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

You could launch ET via the command line. Open up a terminal and type:
> /opt/enemy-territory/et
and look at the output...
