Thanks, my menu.xml does not have <prompt> tags anywhere but still does it somehow; I guess cuz it's an openbox command. Maybe you are still using a config from an earlier version of openbox than I started out with. I actually put the indentations back when I realized I missed the </menu> deal from earlier. It does help.

Hello,
I made some minor modifications to exitx, a GTK logout dialog for Openbox, to use PolicyKit instead of sudo. I also created a new pkgbuild for it so anyone can choose between them.
I didn't get to test it much, but it seems to work.

I am using DWM now.. Been meaning to get around to the graceful power controls. Mr Ellendig's solution (post 21 in this thread) seems portable and simple. I am wondering though, do I have to be creative when doing an alias for these commands? Is there another way I can still issue "shutdown" or "halt" which would execute the alias rather than the standard executable? I put my aliases in my user's .bashrc just fyi.
