Horizontal Frequency - nvidia-xconfig - Not Sure About Them...

My Horizontal Frequency listed in my HDTV manual is saying 69.290 and the xorg.conf lists 'HorizSync  28.0 - 33.0' when I ran nvidia-xconfig.

Should the 33.0 be higher for the 69.290 listed in the manual to cover that range?

So should I make the HorizSync line instead, HorizSync 28.0 - 70.0?

Or should I just trust what nvidia-xconfig made?

THANKS

Re: Horizontal Frequency - nvidia-xconfig - Not Sure About Them...

a HDTV should be more than modern enough to supply it's capabilities to the graphic card via EDID, so you shouldn't need any configuration. All you need to do is tell X you want to use the nvidia driver:

Section "Device"
  Identifier "nvidia card"
  Driver "nvidia"
EndSection

That is all. Only go into further configuration if that doesn't work. But it really should.

I know about all this, but my HDTV needs a config so I use one, still looking for an answer to the question...

Thanks anyways....
