[SOLVED] 1366x768 framebuffer resolution

I am currently running arch on my dell studio 1555, which has a native resolution of 1366x768. I've edited the grub menu.lst to set the desired framebuffer resolution for the bootsplash and the highest i can get was 1024x768 [64k]. I've googled around but there seems to be little to no answer on how to set to 1366x768. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What graphics card do you have and what drivers are you using?

I have an ATI radeon HD 4570, and im currently using the open source driver (xf86-video-ati)

As karol indicated with the second link, try KMS for your open source ATI drivers. I'm using them and indeed, have a 1366x768 resolution on framebuffer.
