i have an epson stylus sx 110(printer,scanner and copy) which works fine with cups and gutenprint till i install sane..when i do that administration printing doesn't recognize the printer anymore.i tried proprietary driver but same thing happens..is there anything else but cups and sane to look for in order to use both features, print and scan, in the same time?

+laptop: Apple | MacBook (2,1) | 2GB ram | Mac OS X 10.4 -> DIED

#pacman -S cups ghostscript gsfonts
#pacman -S gutenprint foomatic-db foomatic-db-engine \foomatic-db-nonfree foomatic-filters
blacklisted usblp module in /etc/rc.conf
added cups in DAEMONS line
pacman -S system-config-printer-gnome

first uninstall foomatic*
then you must (try) create a udev rule, as wrote in our wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CU … CUPS_1.4.x
i've done this before get both scanner and printer working....

i tried creating a udev rule..this is what i get:
$ cat /etc/udev/rules.d/10-usbprinter.rules
cat: /etc/udev/rules.d/10-usbprinter.rules: No such file or directory
