[Solved] Gnome Screen VGA1 gets dark/black all the time
I use Gnome DE with metacity. I have another Screen on my Laptop. Every now and then (2-3 times a minute) it gets dark. I used openbox till a few weeks, but I wanna use gnome now. On openbox I used xrandr for having the two screens. Manually do xrandr also does not work now.
How can I have Constant view on my screen? What Log-File do I look?

Disable the powersaving stuff in the gnome settings, also try disabeling dpms with xset.

Merci, but:
It's not dpms. It does it after typing "xset -dpms" too.
I don't know what gnome-settings are meant. I didn't find the powersaving settings.

It has not much to do whith that: It is not an ati but an intel graphic card, it ist not dvi but agp, it gets not dark periodical but every now and then. An dit worked with openbox and xinerama.

I don't find powersaving. Now I use openbox again. I take it as solved.

Ok, it was not openbox. It was just a kernelupdate to 2.6.37 which fixed it. Sorry fpr bothering and thanks for help.
