Does concurrency=shell exist in Arch?

When I used Ubuntu, a way I could increase boot speed was to edit /etc/init.d/rc, find the line "concurrency=none" and change it into "concurrency=shell". However, in Arch, I can't find this file. I can't even find the directory /etc/init.d. Is there another place for this file, or does it just not exist in Arch?

Also, simply applying a list of changes to system files without understanding what they are, what you're doing, and why that change helps is a recipe for brickage (no, not mis-spelled) sooner rather than later).

For something similar take a look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Im … us_startup. It will only really make a difference if you start a bunch of backgrounded daemons, because X will begin to start (and possibly fully initialize) before all the daemons are started.
