[SOLVED] pacman thinks all packages are newer.

pacman thinks everything on my system in newer than the repo.

sample from pacman -Syu:

Anyways i tried to use rankmirros but i keep getting this:

sudo rankmirrors -n 5 /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.org > /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
bash: /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist: Permission denied

what am i doing wrong here.

Edit: I lost my mirrorlist file.  I downloaded the one from

wget -O /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist http://www.archlinux.org/mirrorlist/all/

now i am getting this

It's probably out of sync. Do a "pacman -Syyu".

Did you check the mirrorlist you downloaded? They are all commented by default.

You say you lost your mirrorlist file, could something have happened to pacman.conf as well? Based on your mirrorlist you should be using the same mirror I've been using for several months, including an update this morning.

pacamn.conf is fine.  i accidently rm my mirrorlist so i downloaded another one.  now no work.

DOH needed Architecture = auto in pacman.conf
