Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

Subclipse doesn't really work for me too. Maybe it's just a configuration issue, I don't know either.
It's pretty messy there in your eclipse... It isn't really clear what plugin is actually used and what dependencies this plugin then uses...

If you don't need features exclusively in subclipse you could follow my personal suggestion and uninstall everything svn-related from eclipse and then use subversive. (You didn't make clear if you specifically need subclipse)

At the moment I use subversive myself and it works pretty good. Most of the time.
1.
Add: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios
Install: Collaboration Tools -> Subversive SVN Team Provider
2.
Add: http://community.polarion.com/projects/ … date-site/
Install: Svn Connectors, SVNKit 1.3.2, Native JavaHL 1.6
(only the newest versions available is enaugh)

Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

I also use eclipse for software development, but I had problems with the svn plugins (I tried a few, but near all were unstable or buggy) and so I use kdesvn and this works very well. So sorry buddy, can't help you.

Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

Try switching from JavaHL to SVNKit. You can do that by going to Window > Preferences, click on Team > SVN and change the SVN Interface to SVNKit. That may help.

Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

My 2 cents tip: go grab the small app from poweredbypulse.com: download and install it. Create your free account, create your Eclipse profile(s) with the plug-ins you like and go! Pulse will configure and always update them all for free in just a few minutes. No hassles!
I have been successfully been using it for 4 years!

Definitely moving to Arch made me enjoy and understand GNU/Linux once again.

Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

I'm pretty happy using the subversive plugin with svnkit installed. No problems so far wink

Re: Eclipse Helios - Subversion

Seems to be the only way to get subversion to work. But subversive is only free for open source projects, isn't it? For commercial projects you need to get a license. But there are no alternatives as I read this forum and other ones.
