Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate place to put it or not, but I figured this was the best. I have a friend of mine who is considering dumping Windows and switching to Arch, with my help. The only major hang up is that he uses Vegas for video editing. I'm not really familiar with that area of things and figured I'd put it out here. What would be the equivalent program under Linux for doing such things, or will it work under Wine (I searched the Wine site, but they only list old versions of it)? Thanks for any info you can help me with!

LiVES maybe.

Kdenlive, Openshot, LiVES? Bad joke. Until late 2011 there's no Sony Vegas equivalent for GNU/Linux.

Of course that depends on how he does his editing, it's like the PS >> gimp thing.
But you're right, those apps are not equivalent, they may be a bit similar but that's that ;P
