Hi!
I have a problem with the gnome-settings-daemon, because it wouldn't start anymore. This causes gnome to have the wrong theme and also to not have loaded many settings like the keyboard settings.
If I try to start the appearance dialog I get the error message that the gnome-settings-daemon could not be startet.
What can I to to enable the starting?

Same issue here!!!!!!!
And, if I try to change the teme, i get this message:
"Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'.
Without the GNOME settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with DBus, or a non-GNOME (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active and conflicting with the GNOME settings manager."
Temporary solution is run "sudo gnome-settings-daemon"

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

pacman.log:[2011-03-16 22:18] upgraded gnome-settings-daemon (2.32.1-2 -> 2.32.1-3)
Where to get a log of the daemon itself?

Ok, solved: There is a new update of gnome-settings-daemon ... just update your system and restart... the problem just disappeared....
