[SOLVED] EeePC 901 touchpad fails after latest upgrade

The touchpad on my eeepc 901 failed after the latest full system upgrade.

I fixed it by downgrading xf86-input-synaptics to the earlier version (1.3.0-2)

+ 1. I have an Asus N82JV. The problem seems to be with xf86-input-synaptics and Elantech touchpads.
