rtorrent segfault at startup

After an update last couple of days my rtorrent stopped working.

[Laptop][~] Arch $ rtorrent
Caught Bus error, dumping stack:
Caught Segmentation fault, dumping stack:
Segmentation fault

I found out that the latest update of ncurses was causing it: ncurses (5.7-4 -> 5.8-1). This post is just for anyone else to detect the problem faster. I looked at rtorrent, libtorrent and openssl fist and then found out it was related to ncurses.

Re: rtorrent segfault at startup

There's already an update for community/rtorrent. If you're using your own build of rtorrent, you'll need to rebuild it with the patch from the upstream bug report:

Re: rtorrent segfault at startup

Thanks. Since rtorrent-svn don't build at the moment, I just downgraded ncurses to 5.7-4. And rtorrent is up and running again. Thanks molecula21 for pushing me in the right direction. smile
