I have a lot of installations in the last time where i have to use Archboot instead of the official Live ISO, in case of the kernel being just to old and so the installation does not work for example in case of missing network card drivers.
Are there any informations about why there is such an old kernel in the image and why there is no new image since the last may. The Image is nearly a year old.

As with everything Arch-related, the new release will be ready when it's ready. Subscribe to the arch-releng mailing list for more details.
Pre-release isos are available here.

I second that.
I recalled that there were some "rolling release" installation images but I couldn't find them again some time ago. I'm glad that this thread came up.
So please provide a link (and an explanation) to the images. It's now almost a year since the last update of the official images. This probably causes some confusion.
